ICCF (Inner City Christian Federation) is a non-profit in Grand Rapids that works to provide all people safe, clean, affordable housing. Through Kynda, I lead all visual brand planning, including a brand refresh in 2017, and lead the design for several fundraising gala brands, newsletter layouts, and bi-annual fundraising appeals.
YEAR END APPEAL
In 2019, we centered ICCF’s end-of-year giving campaign on the idea of “the gift of home.” As the central component of the campaign, we added to our regular appeal letter with an advent calendar for recipients to use through the advent season (December 1 through Christmas day). Each day of the calendar used a sticker to reveal a full-color house with a word focusing around the central theme of “home.” To support the mailing piece, we created an interactive landing page that was updated daily with videos of reflection on the word of the day. We also created social graphics, and sent weekly emails to ICCF’s donors summarizing the week’s meditations and requesting further giving. I was the sole illustrator and designer on all materials (excluding web layout) and assisted on videos.
HOUSES TO HOMES GALA
Every spring, ICCF hosts the “Houses to Homes” Gala as a fundraising and thank-you event to their patrons. I have been the design lead on this event every year since 2018, and am responsible for all branding and event materials including save the dates, invitations, sponsorship packets, email updates, social media, signage, giveaways, and other event collateral.
In 2017, I initiated a refresh of ICCF’s quarterly newsletter that carried over to refreshing the brand’s entire visual identity. Through the newsletter project, I was able to clarify the brand’s typography, color pallet, and photography.
